A resident of Amite, Aaron Samuel Pope passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was born April 20, 1953 in Amite and was 63 years of age. He was a devoted son to his mother and a good friend to many. He is survived by three siblings, Bettie Carroll and Bob Hughes, Lonnie and Betty Pope and Carol P. and Jerry Crowe; nieces and nephews, Karmen B. and Ben Poole, Max O. and Risha Brumfield, III, Bryan Pope, Todd Pope, Sheila Pope and Jeremy Crowe and many other family members. Preceded in death by his parents, James Franklin Pope and Zula Barron Pope. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, until religious services on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
