Mildred L. Cooper-Goings received her highest and eternal promotion on July 8, 2017. Ms. Lucille, or as others called her Ms. Lucy or Moose, went to her eternal home in heaven after battling Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. She now is home with three of her children that preceeded her in death, Cheryl Goings-Langlois, Ronald Goings and Michael Goings. What a joyous reunion that must be. For five generations, Ms. Lucille left behind four children, Deborah Goings-Bales, Beverly Goings-Blackwell, Larry Goings and Pamela Goings-Newman. She will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Ms. Lucy spoke positive and well of everyone and was the most forgiving person anyone would ever have the opportunity to meet or know. She was the constant peace-maker and most unselfish giving person on the planet. We’ll miss you, mother, and your beautiful radiant smile. A long time ago, you decided that your attitude in life could only be reached, not by your aptitude, but only by your attitude. Thanks for that and many other examples. Your upbeat, never in the dumps approach provided strength to all of us. Save a spot for us because one day we’ll all be together again with you, Daddy, our sister and two brothers. We love you so much and only God could love you more!
