Wanzie Spring, a resident of Hammond, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Landmark Nursing Home in Hammond. She was born April 19, 1927 in Franklinton and was 89 years of age. She is survived by 2 daughters, Ann Roberts and Lenell Spring; 6 grandchildren, Michael Spring, Marshall Spring, Shauntell Schenk, Crystal Schenk, Tammy Schenk, and Perry Schenk, Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Spring; granddaughter, Tiffany Roberts. Visitation at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday.
