William “Bill” A. Poillion, Sr., a resident of Amite, passed away at 9:26 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at his home. He was born February 17, 1926 in Bay St. Louis, MS and was 91 years of age. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus 4th Order. He is survived by his two daughters, Regina Bracy and husband Randy, Amite, and Carol Fucci and husband Eddie, Covington; four sons, Bill Poillion, Jr. and wife Mary, Houston, TX; Charles L. Poillion and wife Mary, Orlando, FL; Dennis M. Poillion and wife Linda, Hammond; and John T. Poillion and wife Celine, Charleston, SC; 21 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister Doris Neely, Georgia; and brother Walter Busby, North Carolina. Preceded in death by his parents, William Poillion, Sr. and Carrie Holton Poillion Busby; and his four sisters. The family would like to say a special thank you to North Oaks Hospice for their loving care. Visitation was held at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Funeral Mass at St. Helena Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Services conducted by Fr.
