Margie Lee Renner Truex was born May 13, 1935 and passed away January 14, 2017 at the age of 81 years old and a residence of St. Helena Nursing Home of Greensburg since January 2000. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois. Margie is survived by her daughter, Martelita (Marty) Truex Morris and husband Elmer Morris, of Amite.; her son Thomas Ellis Truex and wife Trenee’ Maddox Truex, of Gadsden, TN; two granddaughters, Michelle Cutrer and husband, Kevin, of Amite and Melinda Morris, of Amite; two grandsons, Michael Morris and wife, Lana Moak Morris, of Wiggins, MS, and Justin Ellis Truex and wife, Kathryn, of Leachville, AR; Five great granddaughters, Logan Paige Cutrer, of Amite, Elizabeth Grace Morris, of Wiggins, MS, Georgia Dianne Truex, Kelly Sky Truex, and Elisabeth Ellis Truex, all of Lucedale, MS; four great grandsons, Thomas Ellis Truex, II, of Leachville, AR, Ethan Scott Morris of Wiggins, MS, Seth Wayne Cutrer and Jase Elliott Morris, of Amite. Preceded in death by her parents, William Renner and Lela De’Clerk; her husband, George Ellis Truex; and her grandson, Cody Ellis Truex. Visitation was held at McKneely Funeral Home, Amite, from 12 p.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017. Services conducted by Rev. Trey Waldrop.
